Kapil Dev, the legendary cricketer, bought a 16-acre land parcel in Karjat, Maharashtra. The veteran cricketer spent Rs. 8 Cr for the deal, said sources. Mohan Gaikar, the land owner in Hedvali village, Karjat taluka, transferred the property title to Kapil Dev in compliance with the registry procedure. The deal practiced price value according to the ready reckoner rate listed by the Government.
According to reports, Kapil Dev paid Rs. 1.03 Crore of stamp duty to complete the land-buying transaction. The property registration took place on 9th February 24’.
The land parcel is spread on both sides of the road and is at a 500-meter distance from the Kothimbe village. It is near to the famous tourist destination, Solanpada dam. This deal marks the second real estate investment by Kapil Dev, the captain of the World Cup-winning team in 1983.
In 2022, the legendary cricketer Kapil Dev bought 25 acres of land in Kothimbe village. A sub-registrar from Panvel, Maharashtra, was deputed to complete the transaction.
