YEIDA Authority sanctions Film City Layout in Greater Noida

YEIDA (Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority) recently gave nod to the proposed layout of upcoming Film City. The project in Sector 21, Greater Noida will have a Film City developed by filmmaker Boney Kapoor- led Bayview Bhutani Film City Private Limited.

Bayview Bhutani submitted the proposal in December 24, 2024 for approval, as sanction from YEIDA will be a go ahead signal.

YEIDA officials informed that after the review of planning department and a high-level committee.

In Greater Noida, the Film City is planned in 1,000-acre and 230-acres will be developed in the first phase. It is likely to taker eight years in completion costing Rs. 1,510 Crore.

“We have approved the layout plan paying way for the construction work to begin at the site. Now the concessionaire will decide the date when work will commence at the site. But the concessionaire will have to carry out the construction work as per the terms and conditions given,” said Arun Vir Singh, Chief Executive Officer, YEIDA.

Film City is the dream project for UP State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and he is likely to attend the stone laying foundation ceremony of the same, officials said.

We are likely to fix a date for the foundation laying ceremony soon. We are trying to pick a suitable date when representatives from the Government and our team will be available for the mega event,” said Ashish Bhutani, Chief Executive Officer, Bhutani group.

Bhutani group, the developer plans stone-laying ceremony in February, however it is likely to be postponed as Government is currently occupied with Mahakhumb. It is sacred programme that will conclude on February 26, Mahashivratri and is taking place after 144 years.

Realty firm Bhutani Infra has purchased a commercial project ‘Logix City Center’ in Noida for an estimated cost of around Rs. 1,000 Crore, including expenditure to be made on renovations. The project has a total area of around 1.2 million square feet, including an operational shopping mall, office space, and a hotel.

Bhutani Infra has a strong portfolio of commercial assets in Delhi-NCR. The acquisition marks a significant addition to its expanding portfolio, bringing together prime retail, leisure, and entertainment spaces within a singular destination.
