Amitabh Bachchan buys Land in Alibaug worth Rs. 10 Crore

In a recent development, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan bought a plotted land in Alibaug, Maharashtra. The veteran actor sealed the deal with HOABL (House of Abhinandan Lodha) for worth Rs. 10 crore.

The colossal land with a beachfront view measures 10,000 sq. ft. at the island on the western coast of India. It is a part of HOABAL’s project named A Alibaug which was launched in April 2023, the sources close to the development said. However, the developer didn’t register any comment on the deal with the celebrity buyer.

Alibaug is a popular investment destination among celebrities thanks to its tranquil atmosphere and picturesque view. It is a quiet island at a few hours-drive from Mumbai, the financial capital of India, and is home to many Bollywood celebrities.

Other than its serenity, quality infrastructure, and cleanliness there lure HNI (high-net-worth individuals). The luxuriating finesse of Alibaug prompts affluents to invest in property here. The coastal landscape and quality infrastructure spike demand for property purchase in Alibaug amid nobles.

Prior, to this, Mr. Bachchan bought a land parcel in Ayodhya from the same developer in the 7-star mix-use development property. The project named ‘Sarayu’ is in quick proximity to the ram Mandir in the city. According to the sources, that plot values 14.5 crores and is spread over 10,000 sq. ft.

These are recent investments by Mr. Bachchan after gifting his ‘Pratiksha’ bungalow to daughter Shweta Nanda. It is the first luxury residential property bought by Amitabh Bachchan. In, 1975, he purchased the property after the grand success of the film Sholay.

Mr. Bachchan owns several other immovable assets like Jalsa in Juhu, valuing Rs. 100-120 crore. The actor currently, resides here. There are more real estate investments in his kitty.

Property investment along the Indian coastal line seems to be a trend. Earlier, Kapil Dev, the skipper of the World cup winning Indian cricket team, bought land in Karjat.
